Art Group Donald Kenner, our resident artist, leads an amazing Art Group here every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm! Those who are involved have an enjoyable time of fellowship together, as well as learning to express their creativity through drawing. We encourage as many of you as possible to come, and we’d love you to bring your friends, especially those who don’t yet know Yeshua.
Shalom Youth movie night Shalom Youth will host a Youth Movie Night to watch ‘The Prince of Egypt’ to conclude our studies through the Exodus narrative, on Friday 31st of May from 7pm to 9pm in the Beit HaMashiach Sanctuary. We’ll kick off the night with some fun games, watch the film, then wrap up with a group discussion. Enjoy popcorn and lollies on us, or bring your own favourite snacks and drinks. Parents and siblings are welcome to stay, especially if you have a longer commute. Feel free to bring bean bags, camping chairs, blankets, or pillows to make yourself comfortable. Don’t miss this opportunity to come together, have fun, and celebrate what the Lord did for His people, Israel.
“United in Prayer for Israel” event in Bendigo For our online viewers living in or near Bendigo, or anyone else interested, there is a ‘United in Prayer for Israel’ event there on Saturday 1st of June, from 2pm to 5pm. The organisers are hoping people from churches all over Bendigo will come to spend time praying for Israel. The event will also feature Rahel and Mark Landrum from ‘International Mission to Jewish People’, sharing about their work amongst Jewish people in Sydney and other parts of the world. And Karen from Celebrate Messiah, who will lead Messianic worship, and teach about God’s plan for Israel, and the issues of AntiSemitism and Replacement Theology. Both ministries will have resources available. Even though it’s a free event, it’s important to please register at https://events.humanitix.com/united-in-prayer-for-israel
Counting of the Omer Today is Day 25 out of 50, of the ‘Counting of the Omer’. So we encourage you to continue setting aside some money each day until Tuesday 11th June, to give in our Shavuot service on Saturday 15th of June, or to donate online into the Beit HaMashiach account, making sure to specify ‘Omer Offering’. The money will be sent to Israel to various ministries who are helping the poor and sharing the good news of Yeshua.
Poland study tour If you’ve ever wanted to visit Poland, you may be interested in a study tour titled, ‘Jewish Life in Poland – Then and Now’, which will be led by a pastor from Israel, from the 29th of August to the 10th of September this year. It focuses on Jewish and Polish Christian spirituality and the history of Jewish life, including the Holocaust.
Marion who is part of our congregation and did this tour last year, highly recommends it, to help us be better informed to pray, and to stand against anti-Semitism. For more information and to book, please go to narrowbridgetour.com
