| 2 | Mikveh/Baptism next Shabbat 14th Dec |
3 people will show their commitment to following Yeshua with a mikveh (baptism) after the service next Shabbat 14th Dec, around 1pm in the pool at Rabbi Lawrence & Louise’s home. After that, please have lunch in cafes or your homes. If anyone else is wanting to be baptised, please let Karen know – connect@beithamashiach.com |
| 3 | CPR & Defibrillator training | A community defibrillator was recently placed outside 311 Glen Eira Road. If you want to learn how to use it and CPR, please register for the free training session there on Tues 17th Dec, 3pm-4:30pm. | 4 | Volunteers needed for Tikkun Olam packing & delivering 19th Dec | Tikkun Olam’s packing & delivering of food hampers for Hanukkah will be held here on Thurs 19th Dec from 10am. We need volunteers for that, and also for 2 days before that (Tues 17th) – someone with a trailer to pick up the food from Coles Elsternwick at 7:30am and one other person. | 5 | Hanukkah service & lunch | We will be celebrating Hanukkah (which officially starts Wed night 25th of Dec and finishes Wed night 1st of Jan) in our Shabbat service on 28th of Dec, and we’d love everyone to bring your own lunch to Elwood Beach afterwards, where there are BBQs, to celebrate not just Hanukkah, but also Felicity’s 30th birthday, and especially Louise’s 60th birthday! |

MTC courses – Term 1, 2025 |
Celebrate Messiah’s Messianic Training Centre will be running 3 courses in Term 1, 2025: Messiah in the Torah, taught by Paul Cohen Beginners Biblical Hebrew, taught by Eleanor Miles as her Intermediate class has now finished. Intermediate Biblical Hebrew, taught by Sharon Dingjan. Students who have been doing the Beginners course will continue, but others who have some knowledge of Biblical Hebrew can also join the course. We give our love and prayers to Hedy as her mum went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Sunday 24th of November, and her funeral was held yesterday. Happy belated birthday for this past week to the following people who we couldn’t announce last Shabbat as we were at Simcha: Margaret Mascara, Heike, Simon Nygaard, Ross, and Jenny Di Stasio who is the Celebrate Messiah staff member overseeing finances and now living in Perth, but is here today! And happy wedding anniversary this past week to David & Esther who celebrated 13 years on Tuesday, Lumala & Lael who celebrated 10 years on Wednesday, and Katie & Paul who celebrated 50 years yesterday – their Golden Jubilee! And now those who have birthdays this coming week: Today to Aeris who is now 15; Tuesday to Sharon Dingjan, who leads our Torah services on the last Shabbat of each month & is the Celebrate Messiah staff member overseeing the Messianic Training Centre (we’ll give you details about next year’s courses next week); and Wednesday to Lizzy Nygaard & to Warren who turns 11 |
