Hanukkah service Sat 28th Dec;

BYO lunch at Elwood Beach afterwards for Hanukkah & Louise’s 60th birthday.

Chag Hanukkah Sameach – Happy Hanukkah! Today (Sat 28th Dec) is our Hanukkah service, and after the service, instead of refreshments here, please join us at Elwood Beach to celebrate Hanukkah and also Louise’s 60th birthday, Felicity’s 30th, and a few others in our BH family.

We’ll meet at the park across the road from the Elwood Life Saving Club. There is paid parking available there, or you may seek free parking nearby.

Please bring or cook there, traditional Hanukkah foods such as latkes and sufganiyot – Israeli donuts. Please also bring your own food, water, chairs, beach umbrellas & sunscreen.

Chanukah at the Racecourse

Another Hanukkah event you might like to attend is tomorrow (Sun 29th Dec) from 4:30pm at Caulfield Racecourse. For more details, google ‘Chanukah at the Racecourse 2024’.

Paul Cohen speaking 4th & 11th Jan

While Rabbi Lawrence and Louise are having a well-deserved break, Paul Cohen, a Celebrate Messiah outreach worker and one of the lecturers at our Messianic Training Centre, will be speaking here the next 2 Shabbats.

Registration now open for Term 1 2025 MTC courses

Registration is now open for our Term 1 2025 Messianic Training Centre courses which will run live on Zoom and commence in late January. They are also recorded, so if you can’t attend some sessions you can watch them afterwards.

* Messiah in the Torah – the Five Books of Moses, taught by Paul Cohen on Thursday nights from 30th of January

* Beginner Biblical Hebrew, taught by Eleanor Miles on Monday nights from 3rd of February

* Intermediate Biblical Hebrew, taught by Sharon Dingjan on Tuesday nights from 28th of January.

Meet the Saints in Israel seminar 1st Feb

Pat Ramsay, founder of the organisation Shalom Israel, is running a seminar here called ‘Meet the saints in Israel’, on Saturday 1st of February, from 2pm to 5pm. Tony and Kathy Stewart will share about their work with Mount Moriah Trust, and we’ll have a video from Yair Pinto from TBN Israel. The event is free, but you must register at celebratemessiah.com.au/events

Caring for our community

Happy birthday today to Francis who turns 12 and to Felicity who turns 30, tomorrow to Joel who is one of Celebrate Messiah’s board members, Monday to Louise who turns 60, Tuesday to Robert who is one of our great drummers, Wednesday to Paul Bishop and Thursday to Elijah Daniels who turns 11. Louise, we love you and thank you for your care for us and for all you do for Beit HaMashiach and Celebrate Messiah. God knows all you do behind the scenes, and we pray that He will bless you greatly. Happy wedding anniversary Monday to John & Glyce who celebrate 8 years, and Tuesday to Paul & Nicole who celebrate 7 years. Happy birthday and wedding anniversary to all others celebrating this week.
