Lech Lecha – Jewish Spirituality that Invigorates our Going
This week's parashah is called "Lech-Lecha” from the famous passage in Genesis 12:1 where God called Abraham to “get going.” This was God’s first Great Commission to Abraham and we too, as disciples of Yeshua the Messiah are also called to “get going” in the third and final Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). Today Rabbi Lawrence will take a look at several aspects of Jewish spirituality that invigorates our discipleship, our “get going” to serve the Lord in this world.
A key verse is “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Ruach ha-Kodesh, teaching them to observe all I have commanded you. And remember! I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19–20, TLV)
